Despite the recent introduction of a smoking ban, it has been revealed that the British government has been supplying cigarettes to Ukrainian troops training in the country.
Ukrainian soldiers trained in the UK will receive duty-free tobacco as part of their rations, according to a Defence Ministry scheme.
Soldiers have reportedly complained about the high price of cigarettes in the UK – an eye-watering average of £15 per pack.
In Ukraine, a pack of 20 cigarettes costs around £1.70.
