Manufactured or imported e-cigarette products should carry the Philippine Standard (PS) mark or Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) label by June of this year. Products bearing the PS mark or ICC label are products that have been determined by DTI to meet the relevant Philippine national standards for quality and safety. Similarly, products covered by the mandatory product certification scheme should bear the PS mark or ICC label before being sold in the local market.
From June 2024 to January 2025, businesses with existing e-cigarette products on the market will be allowed to sell inventory. By January (2025), the market will enter a clearing period. Products without the PS logo or ICC will no longer be allowed to be sold
Starting in February 2024, the Customs Bureau will no longer allow the release of e-cigarette products without a DTI conditional release certificate.
