According to Akorda, the official website of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan has implemented a ban on the sale and distribution of e-cigarettes.
Circulation of e-cigarettes is subject to criminal liability: selling them can result in up to 50 days in jail; Importation and distribution may result in imprisonment of up to two years; Criminal gangs committing similar crimes on a large scale, or multiple times, can result in up to five years in prison.
