Japan Tobacco International (JTI) Egypt hosted Japanese Ambassador to Egypt Hiroshi Okahiro at its “Palm Smoke” factory in Menoufia, aiming to highlight Japan’s major investments in Egypt, while highlighting the company’s commitment to supporting the local community with its social responsibility initiatives, developed in partnership with the David Lira Foundation.
The Ambassador inspected the “Nahra” plant and learned in detail about the company’s production line and strict quality standards. The visit is an affirmation of the relationship between Egypt and Japan through economic investment and community support.
During the visit, the Japanese ambassador participated in the closing ceremony of the 2021 Social Responsibility Initiative launched by the company in cooperation with the Qithara David Foundation, which aims to empower women economically in Menufia Province, thereby providing comprehensive training and developing programs for more than 100 beneficiaries.
